This time, I'll start by inviting you to an opening. It'll be on Friday, May 18th, from 4 pm to 5 pm, at the Scollay Square Gallery in Boston City Hall. It's a group show I planned for a while now, and I'll be with a watercolorist, Christine Winship, a painter, Andrea Tamkin, and a sculptor, Yetti Frenkel.
As its theme is "Animals in the City (Hall)", I'll show some of the prints I did this winter, and I'll add bigger and older works that I don't often frame. If you cannot come, my new prints are here, and some in this newsletter too.
On another topic, I started to add treks to Urban Trekking New York, and I plan to add more until at least the end of 2018. It's fun to go to the city and take photos and notes before coming back here to organize everything!
I also found a way to put all the dialogues of A Singular Domain in chronological order, so the stories of the animals can now be followed more easily, even though it's not a requirement to understand each piece separately. I did the same thing with Red & Green, it's complicated, a story I published weekly during one year 5 years ago. For this story, I also changed the title, simplified some of the content, and translated everything in French, something I had wanted to do for a while.
I advertise these sites on a regular basis on social medias, and they get known slowly, even though too slowly for my liking! I still do guided tours of Boston in French, it was an unplanned outcome of the Urban Trekking Boston site so who knows what the others site will bring!
The experience of farmers markets last year was often a good one, so I'll do them again this year. Along with more traditional venues, they are all listed in the Upcoming Shows section of this newsletter. West Medford Open Studios is coming soon!
You can now see some of my prints at The Gallery in Malden, a new venue that started as a pop-up gallery this winter and is slowly becoming a full-time gallery. I've other projects with them, related to philosophy, but it's not a sure thing yet, so stay tuned!
That's it for this edition, see you around, and be well,
